Short version: I'm a junior at FAU High, I dual-enroll at Florida Atlantic, and most of my free time goes to research. It started with a science-fair app, turned into robots, and lately has wandered into fruit flies and quantum circuits. None of it is finished, and this page isn't either.
The thread running through all of it is a pair of questions. How do we make AI safe enough that people can rely on it, especially in medicine? And what can the brain teach us about the things AI is still bad at? I don't have answers yet. I'm collecting better questions, mostly by sitting next to people who know more than I do.
Right now that means building a robot that rides elevators in Dr. Wei's lab, writing up a quantum approach to ultrasound brain imaging, and waiting on approvals for an ALS study in flies. I'd rather own the whole stack, from wiring to models, than ship a polished demo.

It started with an eye exam
In 8th grade at A.D. Henderson I built a phone app that screens for diabetic retinopathy. It took first at the Florida state middle school science fair, and the AP wrote about it. Mostly it taught me that a few hundred lines of code can catch something people miss, and I haven't stopped building since.

the why.
Then came the paperwork
My dad is a physician, and I watched him stay up late fighting prior-authorization forms. That became AuthAI, and it pulled me into pitch competitions and a lot of conversations with doctors. It also showed me where I care most about AI: places where a wrong answer actually hurts someone.
Cold emails, then a lab
I cold-emailed labs at FAU until one said yes. Dr. Wei took me into his, the first high schooler he'd admitted, and handed me a project a PhD student couldn't get working on hardware. A lot of 10 pm nights later, the robot opens doors and calls elevators on its own.
first lab!
rejection is data.
Still a work in progress
My first paper got rejected, and I left it on the site because a portfolio of only wins doesn't teach anyone anything. These days I'm splitting time between robots, neuroscience, quantum, and The Ethics Lab. Ask me again in a year and this page will say something different.
